How the estimate works
Some costs scale with your guest list — catering, bar, cake, and part of invitations grow with every head. Others are largely fixed no matter the size — the venue, photographer, flowers, attire, and entertainment. The calculator adds fixed and per-guest costs, then scales the total by your region and style tier.
Guest count is the single biggest lever: cutting the list is usually the fastest way to lower the total.
Region and style
Weddings in the Northeast and West cost noticeably more than in the South and Midwest, so the region setting adjusts the baseline. The style tier reflects the difference between a DIY backyard celebration, a typical catered event, and a high-end affair.
